Our founding member, Pamela Gilmour, CPA*, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC® CASL®, after attending two national WIFS conferences surmised that the professional women in these industries in Central Maryland would benefit from what WIFS has to offer. Pam began the chapter by appealing to her colleagues and encouraging them to invite their colleagues. Currently, our chapter boasts nearly 50 members. When asked why Pam started the WIFS Central Maryland Chapter she said:
“Our industry is made up of predominately males. Wouldn’t it be great to have an organization of like-minded women?”
WIFS affords unique opportunities to the women in our area including mentoring programs as well as study groups, national webinars at no additional charge, a focus on member value, national conference opportunities where women can connect with others around the nation, a willingness to help each other and provide each other with resources without competition, working together to succeed, professionalism and leadership—all with local support.

Knowledge of these differences can influence client and colleague engagement to be approachable and inviting. Generational Client and Colleague Collaboration addresses and provides techniques and practices that enhance multi-generation collaboration.
Andrew shares the same mental tools and techniques he imparted as a lead instructor with the State Department, training high-threat diplomatic security to former Navy SEALS, Marines, Rangers and Special Forces, all the while, customizing each program to make sure his content is relevant to the audience and current business issues facing corporate America.
